Martin Baturina scores in Como win over RB Leipzig

Martin Baturina helped lead Como to a 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig on September 10 in the club’s first Champions League match. The 23-year-old opened the scoring in the 15th minute and provided an assist to Anastasios Douvikas in the 38th minute. This performance followed a summer in which Como rejected a €55m transfer offer from Aston Villa. The Italian club reportedly held an €80m valuation for the midfielder. Baturina is now in his second season with the team and has recorded three goals and two assists across four matches in the current campaign. He has established himself as a regular starter under manager Cesc Fabregas after working his way into the lineup throughout the previous year.
