Martin County football edges Santaluces with strong defense and run game

Martin County football secured a 21-16 victory over Santaluces on August 28 at Napoli Orthodontics Stadium. The Tigers relied heavily on their defense, scoring two touchdowns through defensive plays. Jonathan Leocal's strip-sack led to a touchdown return by John Richter, while Wyatt Parks scored on a 56-yard interception return. The only offensive score came from quarterback Manny Louis after a lengthy drive. Despite Santaluces scoring a late touchdown, a failed onside kick sealed Martin County's win. The Tigers improve to 2-0 this season.
