Martin O’Neill evaluates Seb Tounekti as Celtic replacement for Yang

Celtic manager Martin O’Neill has identified Seb Tounekti as a primary option to fill the void left by Yang, who is currently away on international duty with South Korea. Ahead of the upcoming trip to face St Johnstone, O’Neill praised the 24-year-old’s ability to operate on both flanks. The manager noted that while the winger is still developing his consistency, he remains a talented asset capable of beating defenders. Since joining from Hammarby last summer, Tounekti has recorded 53 appearances with six goals and four assists for the Scottish side. O’Neill suggested that Tounekti must now emulate the work rate and defensive contributions displayed by Yang to secure a regular spot in the squad. With Jota also nearing full fitness, the coaching staff expects the winger to capitalize on these immediate opportunities to establish himself within the starting rotation.
