Maryland field hockey maintains undefeated start with strong offense

Maryland field hockey continues its undefeated start in 2026, demonstrating a powerful offense that utilizes the entire field. The Terps have 11 players with at least five points, led by senior Josie Hollamon's ability to initiate plays from defense. The team also excels in penalty corner execution, through Francisca Eschoyez, who has netted seven goals from set pieces. Maryland's success can be attributed to improved speed and effective cycling of players, keeping intensity high throughout matches. Their dynamic play has positioned them as serious contenders for national glory this autumn.
