Maryland football adds fifth-year DB Jordan Scruggs for 2026 season

Maryland football has secured a commitment from fifth-year defensive back Jordan Scruggs, who is set to join the team for the upcoming 2026 season. Scruggs, following a judge's injunction granting him an additional year of eligibility, has experience at various programs including West Virginia, where he played 12 games last season and recorded 33 tackles and one interception. He had initially considered returning to West Virginia but opted for Maryland late in the recruitment process. Maryland's defense, which struggled last season, will look to Scruggs to bolster its roster ahead of the new season.
