Maryland volleyball sweeps Eastern Shore in home opener at the Pavilion

Maryland volleyball secured a 3-0 victory over Eastern Shore during the team's home opener at the Stephen M. Schanwald Pavilion on Sunday. The Terps opened the match with a 25-15 win in the first set, followed by 25-16 victories in the second and third frames. Setter Sara Toth paced the Maryland offense with 36 assists, while veterans Haley Melby and Duru Gökçen each recorded nine kills. Despite an early 4-2 deficit in the first set, Maryland controlled the momentum through aggressive serving and consistent net play. The win extends the team's current win streak to two matches. Maryland prepares to host George Mason at the XFINITY Center on Monday.
