Mason Edwards and Grant Govel invited to MLB Draft Combine next week

USC pitchers Mason Edwards and Grant Govel have received invitations to the MLB Draft Combine, set for June 23-26 at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona. Edwards concluded his season with an undefeated record of 8-0 and a 2.07 ERA, earning honors as the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year. Govel ended the season with a 10-3 record and a 2.87 ERA, securing second-team All-American recognition. Both players will assess their options regarding the MLB Draft versus returning to USC, amid potential NIL agreements to retain them. USC commit Dustin Dunwoody also received a combine invitation after recently flipping from Arizona.
