Massapequa International 12U softball team advances in Mid-Atlantic Regional tournament

The Massapequa International Little League softball team from New York secured its place in the Mid-Atlantic Regional semifinal, defeating Delaware and Maryland in early rounds. New York triumphed 4-3 over Delaware, with Milla Sollitto's late-game triple assisting the comeback. The team followed with a hard-fought 7-4 victory against Maryland, highlighted by a six-run inning. Pitcher Ruby Ponticello contributed significantly, finishing with five strikeouts. Massapequa will now play New Jersey in the semifinal on July 22.
