MassBay Community College appoints coaches for Unified Sports basketball

MassBay Community College has announced the appointment of Kelly Graska and Richie Haskell as co-head coaches for its Unified Sports program ahead of the basketball season. This initiative, the first of its type at a Massachusetts community college, aims to include students with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities in team competition. Graska, who has a background in athletics and has been with MassBay for over 12 years, emphasized the program's focus on unity and support. Haskell brings a personal connection to the initiative through his son's participation in Special Olympics events. Unified Basketball practices are set to begin in early October.
