Matt Kelly resigns as Providence women's hockey coach, joins Bishop Kearney

Matt Kelly has resigned as head coach of the Providence College women's hockey team after eight seasons. He is set to take over as head coach for the U-19 program at Bishop Kearney. Providence athletic director Steve Napolillo expressed gratitude for Kelly's contributions, while assistant coach Nicole Norton will serve as interim head coach this upcoming season. Prior to his time at Providence, Kelly had experience with USA's U-18 national team and the Olympic roster, achieving a 136-78-21 record in Hockey East. Norton has been part of the Providence program for six seasons, and her promotion reflects continuity within the coaching staff.
