Matt LaFleur defends Jordan Love ahead of Packers regular season opener

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur dismissed recent questions regarding whether quarterback Jordan Love is an elite player. LaFleur stated he is confused by the premise of the question because he believes Love already demonstrates elite capability. As the team prepares for the 2026 regular season, Love remains the primary focus for an offense attempting to improve upon consecutive Wild Card round exits. The Packers face a challenge this Sunday on the road against their divisional rival, the Minnesota Vikings. The team must navigate early season roster uncertainties, including the status of running back Josh Jacobs, who is currently on the commissioner’s exempt list following an offseason arrest. Despite the recent turnover challenges and injury concerns surrounding the starting offensive line, the organization maintains full confidence in Love as the leader of the offense for the upcoming campaign.
