Matt LaFleur faces job pressure as Packers enter 2026 NFL season

Summary

The Green Bay Packers enter the 2026 NFL season under increased scrutiny following a 9-7 finish last year. Head coach Matt LaFleur faces a pivotal campaign as expectations for deep postseason runs remain high in Green Bay. Analysts suggest that a poor performance could jeopardize his position, with some projections even placing the team at the bottom of the NFC North. Potential defensive setbacks, including the possible absence of Micah Parsons for several weeks, complicate the team's outlook. A last-place divisional finish would mark the franchise's lowest standing since 2005. Success for the team remains tied to the health and performance of quarterback Jordan Love.
