The disciplinary action follows Guendouzi’s conduct during the second leg of a Champions League play-off match against Lyon, which Fenerbahce won 2-1. After the match, Guendouzi taunted Lyon supporters with references to his former club, Marseille, sparking an altercation between staff and players in the tunnel. UEFA ruled the midfielder violated rules regarding the insulting and provocation of spectators. Consequently, he will be unavailable for the meeting with Paulo Dybala and the rest of the Roma squad.
