Matthew and Brady Tkachuk to ring hurricane siren at Miami home opener

Florida Panthers forwards Matthew Tkachuk and Brady Tkachuk will participate in the Miami Hurricanes' pregame ceremonies Thursday night. The brothers are scheduled to serve as celebrity hurricane siren ringers at Hard Rock Stadium ahead of the team's matchup against Florida A&M. The siren tradition was introduced last season, featuring appearances by team legends such as Jimmy Johnson, Michael Irvin, and Dan Morgan. Matthew Tkachuk previously made a media appearance at a Miami home game last September when he acted as a celebrity picker for ESPN’s College GameDay. The Hurricanes enter the game following a 45-6 season-opening win over Stanford. Following the football festivities, the Panthers prepare for training camp beginning September 17 in Fort Lauderdale, followed by a preseason opener against the Carolina Hurricanes on September 20.
