Matthew Robertson breaks record to earn cycling gold at Commonwealth Games

Matthew Robertson of England secured gold in the men's C1-C3 3,000m individual pursuit at the Commonwealth Games, breaking the Games record twice in one day. After setting a record in the morning qualification, Robertson bettered his time in the final, clocking 3:22.597. His Scottish opponent, Fin Graham, fell short after an early strong effort. Kadeena Cox, also from England, earned silver in the women's C4-C5 1,000m time trial, marking her first Commonwealth medal after two injury-affected Games. Australia’s Tara Neyland claimed gold in that event, setting a new world record.
