Matthias Jaissle set to replace Eddie Howe at Newcastle

The 38-year-old German, Matthias Jaissle, is set to become the successor to Eddie Howe. Having recently resigned from his post at Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, Jaissle has an impressive resumé for a young coach.

Al-Ahli boss Matthias Jaissle is the surprise favourite to succeed Eddie Howe - who is expected to leave his role with immediate effect - as Newcastle head coach - and he would arrive with a strong recent record of success. Former Red Bull Salzburg boss Jaissle took his first coaching steps as assistant manager of Danish club Brondby between 2017 and 2019.
