Mavericks face tough decisions on player contracts, including Lively II
Summary

Dereck Lively II is in talks for an extension with the Dallas Mavericks as they evaluate their roster's future. Naji Marshall and Max Christie, both extension-eligible, have shown strong performance, adding complexity to contract decisions. Marshall has been a reliable scorer, while Christie established himself as a promising 3-and-D wing. The Mavericks may consider waiting another year for further evaluation before committing. However, doing so risks losing Marshall in free agency or facing higher costs to retain him later.
