Max Holmes eyes Geelong return for elimination final against Carlton

Geelong midfielder Max Holmes is expected to be selected for Friday night's elimination final against Carlton at the MCG. The 24-year-old has been sidelined since round 19 following ankle surgery but has trained strongly ahead of the upcoming match. Coach Chris Scott indicated the team will make a final decision following a training session at GMHBA Stadium on Tuesday. Geelong will also regain small forward Oli Wiltshire, who has recovered from a foot injury. Carlton arrives at the match following a wildcard round victory over Melbourne and has secured 11 wins in its last 14 games.
