Max Scherzer placed on injured list due to back spasms

Summary

Max Scherzer of the Toronto Blue Jays has been scratched from today's game due to back spasms and has been placed on the injured list for at least 15 days. This change necessitates a bullpen day for the Blue Jays in their game against the Boston Red Sox tonight. The transaction follows a series of injuries within the team, as they anticipate the return of Shane Bieber next week. Chad Dallas is back on the roster and expected to be active for tonight's game. Braydon Fisher is set to open the game, with Simeon Woods Richardson likely taking on bulk innings.
