Max Schwarz takes lead at Wisconsin State Open heading into final round

Max Schwarz surged to the top of the leaderboard at the Wisconsin State Open, finishing the second round at Tuckaway Country Club with a 4-under 68 for a total of 6-under 138. Schwarz's final birdie on No. 18 gave him a one-shot advantage over Harrison Ott and two other players. Ott, a two-time champion, ended the day at 5-under, joining amateurs Mason Schmidtke and Brandon Cloete. With the final 36 holes scheduled for Aug. 19, several players remain within striking distance behind Schwarz, including David Bach and Vijay Kumar at 4-under. The tournament concludes with a significant cash payout for the winner.
