He had initially engaged in preparations for the event, but his commitments in F1 and the absence of core co-drivers from the NLS events influenced his decision. Despite the setback, Verstappen’s presence significantly boosted attendance at the Nürburgring, drawing a record crowd of 352,000 for the 24 Hours race. Looking ahead, he may consider a return in 2027.
