Mayank Agarwal joins Durham for final County Championship matches

India batter Mayank Agarwal has signed with Durham for the final four matches of the County Championship season. The 35-year-old moves to the club to replace David Bedingham, who is returning to South Africa for international duty ahead of a Test series against Australia. Durham currently holds a 40-point lead over Kent and Northamptonshire as the team pushes for promotion to Division One. Head coach Ryan Campbell expressed intent to utilize Agarwal's first-class record to help secure a return to the top flight. Agarwal previously competed for Yorkshire last year and holds a career first-class average of 43.98. The team’s pursuit of promotion resumes with an away match against Northamptonshire scheduled to begin on Wednesday at 10:30 BST.
