Mayla Herrick claims victory at Loretta Lynn's Women's Moto 1 after crashes

Mayla Herrick won the first moto of the Women's division at Loretta Lynn's Amateur Nationals in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, on August 5, 2026. Despite crashing twice in the final laps, she held off challenges to finish less than two-tenths of a second ahead of Jordan Jarvis. Herrick started strong, quickly moving from fourth to the lead, building a significant gap of over 30 seconds. In Lap 6, Jarvis, who had a poor start, secured second place. With three laps left, Herrick's crashes allowed Jarvis to narrow the gap, but she managed to maintain her lead until the end. Hannah Hodges finished third, and Piper Bell came in fourth. Herrick is set to compete again in Round 4 of the Women's Pro Motocross series next week.
