McInnes hints at Rangers signing announcement ahead of season opener

Summary

Rangers manager Derek McInnes indicated that the club may announce a new signing within 48 hours, aiming for completion before the team's season opener against Dundee United on Friday. The club has already secured seven new players this summer, but McInnes emphasized the need for additional talent, specifically a defender and a winger. Nicolas Raskin, a Belgian midfielder, will not participate initially as he returns from vacation following the World Cup. McInnes pointed out shortfalls in the squad and expressed desire to improve creativity to better support forwards. His focus remains on bolstering both defensive and attacking options ahead of a busy fixture schedule.
