Amarillo Globe-News readers have selected Kelton senior McKinzi McManus as the Preseason Volleyball Player of the Year with 55.1% of the votes. The poll, conducted by Happy State Bank, received a total of 7,135 votes. The high school volleyball season began on August 10, during which several players from the Texas Panhandle reached significant career milestones. Perryton senior Tana Williams recorded her 1,000th career assist, and Randall sophomore Chloe Brown achieved 500 career kills.
