McLaren sees potential for upgrade progress at Hungarian Grand Prix

McLaren's Team Principal Andrea Stella confirmed a strategic change in upgrade development following the British Grand Prix. Although Lando Norris finished fourth and Oscar Piastri was P11 after early contact, the team recognized issues with their pace compared to rivals Ferrari and Mercedes. Stella noted that the MCL40's performance is hindered by a gap of approximately half a second to top contenders. The team plans to implement the first results of their revised upgrade strategy at the Hungarian Grand Prix and expects additional improvements throughout the season.
