Statewide media members released the first football rankings of the 2026 Kentucky high school season ahead of Week 3. Seven Northern Kentucky programs secured spots in the top 10 across their respective classes despite early-season uncertainty. Beechwood claimed the top spot in Class 2A, while Highlands, Covington Catholic, and Lloyd Memorial earned top-five placements in their classes. Trinity, Scott County, Boyle County, Christian Academy, and Raceland hold the No. 1 rankings in their respective divisions. The poll reflects input from 16 media members from across Kentucky, as compiled by Jason Frakes. Programs continue their regular season schedules this week following the two-week introductory period.
