Megan Rapinoe criticized by Martina Navratilova over trans athlete comments

Megan Rapinoe has faced criticism from Martina Navratilova regarding her remarks on transgender athletes in women's sports. During a segment on The View, Rapinoe spoke against legislation in Washington that requires sex tests for girls in sports, calling it an attack on women. Navratilova responded, labeling Rapinoe's statements as 'illogical' and referencing a 2017 match where the U.S. Women's National Team lost to a boys' team. Navratilova urged Caitlin Clark to take a definitive stance on the issue, stating that neutrality is not an option in sports. Rapinoe's comments come amid ongoing debates regarding trans athletes in women's leagues, following recent remarks from WNBA player Sophie Cunningham.
