Nemanja Popović, a 6-foot-9 Serbian center, reported to the Memphis basketball practice facility on July 3. He has been cleared to participate in practice and is enrolled in classes at the University of Memphis. While the school has not officially announced his signing, sources indicate he will join the team for the upcoming season. Popović previously played for King Wilki Morskie Szczecin in Poland, averaging 14.3 points and 6.4 rebounds over 27 games last season. Memphis is preparing for its season opener against Iowa State on Nov. 2.
