Memphis golf tournament loses premier PGA Tour status after 2027

Memphis will lose its standing as a premier site on the PGA Tour after the 2027 FedEx St. Jude Championship. The PGA Tour announced that TPC Southwind will not be part of the new Championship Series set to begin in 2028. FedEx expressed disappointment in the decision but remains committed to finding ways to host professional golf in Memphis. The full 2028 PGA Tour schedule will be revealed in late January. Memphis has hosted a PGA tournament for 68 consecutive years.
