Memphis Tigers football approaches Top 25 after two-game winning streak

Memphis remains undefeated through its first two games following a 42-24 win over Arkansas State on September 5 and an earlier 27-21 victory at UNLV. The Tigers currently hold the equivalent of the No. 32 ranking after receiving 24 voting points in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll released on September 8. This momentum places the team as the second-highest vote-getter among all Group of Six programs. Memphis faces a significant road test next when it travels to play Boise State on September 12. A victory in that matchup could provide the Tigers with important wins over top contenders in both the Mountain West and Pac-12 conferences as the season progresses. Following the meeting with the Broncos, the team faces a schedule featuring UT Martin, Charlotte, and UAB.
