Mendon softball secures second consecutive Division 4 state title

Mendon softball team captured its second straight Division 4 MHSAA state title on June 13, defeating Brown City 6-2 in East Lansing. Pitcher Rowan Allen dominated on the mound, striking out 14 batters and allowing only three hits. The Hornets set the tone early, scoring four runs in the first two innings. Eleven players contributed to a balanced offensive attack, which included two hits from Allen and Jadyn Samson. The victory marks a remarkable achievement for Mendon, which recorded 140 wins over the past four years and has reached the state finals each year.
