Mercedes Martinez ends in-ring career after suffering torn ACL

Back at the start of 2026, Indie Wrestling Hall of Famer Mercedes Martinez announced “one last run” for the in-ring portion of her wrestling career. Unfortunately, Mercedes’ Last Run tour has now ended early due to injury. The OG Badass announced the news in a video on social media tonight where she talked about suffering a torn ACL in the ring nearly two weeks ago working a match for 2CW. Martinez said the injury officially ends her in-ring career. Those sales will help “supplement the cost that I have endured so far with this injury, as well as the surgery that is going to happen at some point.” Mercedes made sure to state that this is, “Not goodbye to wrestling.
