Mets activate Francisco Lindor, designate Zack Short for assignment

The New York Mets activated shortstop Francisco Lindor from the Injured List before Game 2 of a day/night doubleheader on June 24, 2026. Lindor’s return follows a calf injury that sidelined him for two months. In a corresponding move, the team designated Zack Short for assignment. Lindor previously completed a rehab assignment where he showed promising performance. Ronny Mauricio was also activated but will return to Triple-A Syracuse for regular playing time.
