Mets and Giants consider trade for Marcus Semien and Willy Adames
Summary

ESPN's Buster Olney suggested a trade between the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants that would swap Marcus Semien for Willy Adames. This comes after Semien's disappointing performance with the Mets, where he has a slash line of.219/.275/.351 so far this season. The Giants have also expressed frustration with Adames, who has struggled following a promising previous season. Such a trade could benefit both parties, with Olney proposing that Adames offers more power than Semien, enhancing the Giants' infield configuration if they pick up part of Adames's contract. Semien’s return to the Bay Area could rejuvenate his game, given his local ties.
