The Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the New York Mets 6-4 on August 7 at PNC Park, marking their fourth consecutive defeat. Carmen Mlodzinski struggled during his first start since May, allowing five runs in three innings. The Mets built an early lead with multiple two-out runs, including a decisive three-run home run by Marcus Semien in the third inning.
