Mets' Juan Soto expects return this season after calf strain

New York Mets outfielder Juan Soto has been placed on the 10-day injured list due to a left calf strain, but he expects to return this season. Soto indicated that his recovery will be monitored on a day-to-day basis as the Mets prepare for a three-game series against Atlanta. He previously dealt with a right calf strain earlier in the season, missing 15 games. Mets interim manager Andy Green stated that the focus is on Soto's full recovery before discussing his potential return timeline. Soto has been a standout for the Mets, holding a.283 batting average with 21 home runs and 52 RBIs this season, and his return could greatly impact the team’s performance as they navigate a challenging season.
