Mets lose to Orioles 2-1 despite strong outing from Jonah Tong

The New York Mets fell to the Baltimore Orioles 2-1 at Citi Field on September 14. Jonah Tong delivered a solid pitching performance but the Mets managed only six hits and left nine runners on base. The Orioles opened the scoring with a run in the second inning and regained the lead with a home run in the eighth. Despite a late rally attempt, the Mets could not overcome the deficit. Both teams are scheduled for another matchup tomorrow.
