Mets option Xzavion Curry and call up Jack Weisenburger

The New York Mets have optioned right-handed pitcher Xzavion Curry to Triple-A Syracuse and called up Jack Weisenburger. Curry contributed three scoreless innings of relief in his last outing against Pittsburgh but has fluctuated between the majors and Triple-A this season. Weisenburger, 28, will make his major league debut if he enters a game. He has spent considerable time in the minor leagues, including stints with the Athletics, Atlantic League, and Mexican League, and holds a 7.22 ERA in Triple-A this year.
