Mets promote catcher Kevin Parada to Triple-A Syracuse roster

The New York Mets promoted catching prospect Kevin Parada from Double-A Binghamton to the Triple-A Syracuse roster on Thursday. The 25-year-old enters the promotion following a stretch with the Binghamton club where he hit four home runs and recorded 22 RBI across 64 games. Parada has previously appeared in 24 games for the Triple-A affiliate this season, posting a.301 batting average with one home run and 12 RBI. The organization selected the catcher 11th overall in the 2022 draft, and he is currently playing his fifth season within the system. The promotion coincides with the major league team preparing for an upcoming series against the San Francisco Giants.
