The New York Mets announced the release of Yonny Hernández on Wednesday. Hernández, who has been with the Mets' Triple-A affiliate, did not make an appearance in MLB games for the team. During his time in the minors, he posted a.305 batting average with 69 hits, two home runs, and 29 RBIs across 74 games. The Mets are currently off after a series against the Milwaukee Brewers, in which they lost 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon. The team will now prepare for their upcoming series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
