Mets seek Tarik Skubal and another All-Star pitcher this offseason

The New York Mets aim to add Tarik Skubal, a two-time Cy Young Award winner, as a free agent in the upcoming offseason. The team is expected to be a leading contender due to owner Steve Cohen's willingness to spend. Beyond Skubal, sources suggest the Mets should pursue additional starting pitching, with Minnesota Twins right-hander Joe Ryan identified as a primary trade target. Ryan has been an All-Star for two consecutive seasons and would significantly enhance the Mets' pitching rotation. The team considers upgrading after relying on Sean Manaea and Kodai Senga in recent years.
