Mets seek trade for Freddy Peralta amid reduced value concerns

The New York Mets are expected to be active sellers before the August 3 MLB trade deadline, with Freddy Peralta likely on the move. Peralta's trade value has decreased due to a poor season, marked by a 5.01 ERA. While the right-hander showed promise last season with a 2.70 ERA for the Brewers, recent struggles have made it unlikely the Mets will receive significant offers. The Mets previously traded assets to acquire Peralta, but his current performance may limit the return they can expect.
