Mexico U-17 team splits pair of friendlies with Colombia

The Mexico U-17 National Team concluded a preparation camp for the 2026 FIFA U-17 World Cup this Sunday following two friendly matches against Colombia at the High Performance Center. Mexico secured a 4-1 victory in the first match played on Friday, August 28. The second meeting between the two sides occurred on the morning of August 30, resulting in a one-goal loss for the Mexican squad. Dylan Avelar, Joseph González, and Jorge Lewis represented the club during both contests. These matches served as part of a developmental process for the players as they continue training for the upcoming tournament in Qatar. The squad remains in the selection process as the staff prepares for the World Cup competition.
