Miami Dolphins name Malik Willis and five others as team captains

Coach Jeff Hafley named six players as captains for the Miami Dolphins heading into the 2026 NFL season. The selected group includes quarterback Malik Willis, running back De'Von Achane, center Aaron Brewer, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, offensive tackle Patrick Paul, and defensive tackle Zach Sieler. Among the selections, Achane, Brewer, and Brooks recently signed contract extensions with the franchise. Willis, in his fifth NFL season, serves as the team's quarterback and was noted by the coaching staff for his leadership role. While the team bypassed naming a captain from the secondary, second-year safety Dante Trader remains a leader within that defensive unit. The announcement comes as the Dolphins prepare for the upcoming regular season.
