Miami Dolphins waive former Florida State linebacker Cam Riley

The Miami Dolphins waived linebacker Cam Riley on Sunday as the franchise finalized its 53-man roster ahead of the 2026 NFL season. Riley signed with the Dolphins on August 16 but was released after appearing in two preseason games, where he recorded 11 tackles and one pass breakup. The linebacker entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2025 and previously spent time with the New England Patriots and the Tennessee Titans. If Riley clears waivers, he will be eligible to sign with another team's active roster or practice squad. Several other former Florida State players were also waived Sunday, including quarterback DJ Uiagalelei by the Los Angeles Chargers and running back Trey Benson by the Arizona Cardinals last week.
