Miami football secured a commitment from five-star cornerback A’mir Sears for its 2027 recruiting class on August 1, 2026. Sears, a top recruit from Florida, recently reclassified to the 2027 class and is now the second-best recruit in the state and 11th overall nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. With this addition, Miami's recruiting class ranks second nationally, trailing only Texas A&M.
