Miami football adds five-star recruit A’mir Sears to 2027 class

Miami football secured a commitment from five-star cornerback A’mir Sears for its 2027 recruiting class on August 1, 2026. Sears, a top recruit from Florida, recently reclassified to the 2027 class and is now the second-best recruit in the state and 11th overall nationally, according to 247Sports Composite rankings. With this addition, Miami's recruiting class ranks second nationally, trailing only Texas A&M. Under head coach Mario Cristobal, who has a 35-19 record over four seasons, the Hurricanes are preparing for the upcoming season after reaching the College Football Playoff National Championship Game last season. The team's first game is against Stanford on September 4.
