Miami Heat eye Klay Thompson as Mavericks weigh trade options

Summary

Klay Thompson remains with the Dallas Mavericks as the Miami Heat show interest in acquiring him. Following LeBron James' signing with the Philadelphia 76ers, Miami is shifting focus to potential free-agent targets like Thompson, who is in the final year of his contract. However, the Mavericks are currently uninterested in a buyout and may seek a trade instead. Thompson averaged 12 points per game last season and is seen as a valuable asset for Dallas. The Mavericks are exploring trade possibilities but have not finalized any deals. Miami, meanwhile, is not inclined to give up draft picks in a potential trade.
