Miami Hurricanes defeat Stanford Cardinal 45-6 at Stanford Stadium

The Miami Hurricanes opened their season with a 45-6 victory over the Stanford Cardinal on September 4 in Palo Alto. Quarterback Darian Mensah finished the night 27-of-30 passing for 400 yards and five touchdowns. Wide receiver Malachi Toney set a Miami single-game record with 233 receiving yards on 12 catches, three of which were for touchdowns. Stanford's offense struggled to find the end zone, managing only two field goals throughout the contest. Miami dominated both sides of the ball while forcing the Cardinal to punt multiple times. The Hurricanes host FAMU on September 10, while Stanford prepares for a road game against Duke on September 19.
