Micah Nori enters his first season as the head coach of the Portland Trail Blazers after signing a one-year deal with the organization this past June. Nori previously served as an assistant coach for the Minnesota Timberwolves for five years and held roles with the Detroit Pistons, Denver Nuggets, Sacramento Kings, and Toronto Raptors. In a video released by the team, the 52-year-old coach noted that he has lived in all four North American time zones during his career. He inherits a roster featuring veterans Damian Lillard and Jrue Holiday alongside younger players including Ja Morant, Deni Avdija, Shaedon Sharpe, Donovan Clingan, Toumani Camara, and Scoot Henderson. The Trail Blazers finished last season as the seventh seed in the Western Conference. Nori is tasked with guiding the group back to the playoffs as he takes over full play-calling responsibilities for the upcoming campaign.
